Welcome to Broadleaf Studio
Tattooing by D’Lacie Jeanne
It all begins with a desire to change.
This is transformation.
This is looking at yourself in the mirror and taking back your power.
This is reclamation of your body from a people and a society that said you couldn't.
These women are warriors, gentle hearted and fierce. We are trudging the narrow path to healing our trauma together. We press on, we persist.
We are waking up to our trauma. We are becoming more and more aware of the effects of loss, traumatic events, abuse, abandonment, and neglect. It affects the way we handle daily events, the way we see ourselves in the mirrors, and our ability to move deeper into relationships with those around us. The transformative process of getting tattooed can be one of the positive ways we move through our heartaches.
I have created an environment of recovery and peacefulness. My studio is filled with imagery of strong women, plants, and stones that invite a healing energy. I play chill music quietly in the background, and keep the room warm and well lit. I am open to be a resource on your road to recovery. Your body is your temple, and a living testament to your survival. We are transmuting the energy of your loss into a beautiful design in remembrance of your overcoming. Together we can celebrate your strength and perseverance, while we observe the brokenness you felt when you lost access to the vulnerability of your essence.
I welcome you to be present, to feel or discuss whatever arises through the experience of your sessions. This is your transformation, and I am here with you.
